MY OPINION ABOUT THIS "NZ FLAG CHANGE ◔̯◔ "

Today the topic we'll be discussing is.....

For those of you that don't know what a seance is....It's like summoning the dead. And you do it with an Ouija board which is that creepy moving GIF up there..... Had a nightmare about it last night....That CREEPY MOON FACE AND SUN FACE!

Main topic is about the flags:
Ok so my top four choices are.....

This one first because I like the colors....

This one SECOND because of that beautiful fern....

WELL this one 3rd because look how pretty that is?

AND LAST BUT NOT LEAST...this one because it's the closest to the old flag that y'all will get :)

 








So out of all these 
beautiful options 
My vote would have to be number ONE!!!
I choose this because of the beautiful colors used! I mean...I'm not a fan of bright colors so something mediocre (I USED A VOCAB WORD!) like this is nice and sweet :)
Also it doesn't scream "I'M OUTSTANDING!" which makes it a nice choice!

I mean don't judge that I'm just a person that chooses a flag with  "** Shades of grey" on it.

 So MY OPINION about this whole flag concept is.....
DON'T CHANGE THE FLAG! It's fine how it is :)
So here is my reasoning:
A: Well I've grown up to live with this flag....
B: Why change it when it's already beautiful?
C: Our country should be PROUD of this flag and stick with it.
D: People aren't going to choose NZ as a holiday destination just because of this new flag... 
E: Well we should be proud of out flag even though it looks the same as the Aussie's

Even Mr bean is sad :(

D: This New Zealand flag we have currently is a part of NZ and has been for over  A LOT of years. It's just sad to see it change when I've grown up with it :(

I guess you can tell that I REALLY want us to keep the old flag.
So this is a message to the people changing it.....

Dear citizens of New Zealand
I know y'all probably can't be stuffed to read this but...
If you take the New Zealand flag away from us...It's like ripping out a part out of my heritage and replacing it with a new unknown one. I'm proud to be in this country and living in it....And that flag is a part of our country that symbolizes world peace and our Kiwiness. 
So people of New Zealand....Think about what your doing...
Join the protest today....(Jk)

ITS TIME FOR...... MOVIE TALK TIME (MTT)......
BRREOW EVERYONE!
So today's movie shall be....
INSIDE OUT!!
Lots of people kept on saying "Awhh you haven't seen it?" and "It's SOOO good!"
So I had no choice but to see it.
So last week I was sick and dad set up the movie. It was a really great movie but as some people said in class.....
Some little kids may not understand the concept of it because it was quite confusing...
One minute they were in the kids brain and the next they were in some weird land with these memory things in colored balls. And then they met this dude who was STEALING THEM who happened to be this kid's "Imaginary friend"

Now....
If I was in Joy and sadness's position I would've told this imaginary friend to LET GO OF THE MEMORIES AND PUT HIS HANDS IN THE AIR!? But do you know what they did instead....They didn't tell him off and let him direct the way out of the confusing memory lane. So I liked the movie overall but I didn't get to see the ending because I was SO TIRED.... that I kind of fell asleep to the sad music when the kid is leaving her home. So yea! The best part of the movie was that music....I literally fell asleep to it...No kidding.

Has anyone seen "The Book Of Life?" because apparently it's good?

My mind is spinning.....spinning.....spinning......
I haven't had much sleep in the past few days so sorry If this post may be drowsy.
Quick note to y'all: DON'T LET THE FLU GET YOU.
Cause trust me, you're unable to do all the certain things that you could do before. And it's going around New Zealand. You would know If you watched the news......

Today I will be sharing with you some artsy stuff!
Now at home I SOMETIMES (Occasionally) draw when I feel bored. Dad got me this book from the library with art techniques but I failed at it. When I tried drawing a face it FAILED. So my favorite kind of art would probably have to be.........Freestyle I guess! I do it all the time! I get a piece of paper, draw some random stuff then........I throw it in the bin and do it again! That's the beauty of freestyle.

Also in this book of art I tried to draw a cat sitting on top of a draw filled with clothes......Well that HORRIBLY FAILED :(
I showed mum and she looked at It, raised her eyebrows and said
"Umm yes dear, it's lovely!"
Of course I  knew that also meant 
"Cough cough, it's terrible!"
I don't blame her of course. The sock I drew in the closet looked like an undercooked soggy potato.
I was going to put a picture but.......
I'm too embarrassed （。-＿-。）

Other me: So Kat, do you have any good ideas for your class to do for the art exhibition?
Me: Erm.......Nope
Other me: Come on! There had to be SOMETHING!
Me: Well I guess I could think of a few things.....

Me: Well we could all make a 3D star out of paper and put glitter.....

So as I said before in the beginning, I'm going to take a little break off flash back moments and add something new for a little while. I CALL IT.......... 

 MOVIE TALK TIME (MTT)
 So In this new section of my blog, I will be sharing a new movie that I have recently watched with y'all and talk about whats wrong with it! So in the weekend I watched for the second time, INTO THE WOODS which is a musical (yawn). So this is all about fairy tales! I'm going to be talking about the CINDERELLA bit!

That SHOE MOMENT

So basically there are many films about Cinderella made and in each one SHE ALWAYS RUNS AWAY! That's because  
"The clock strikes twelve -and so on..." 
And she bolts out the door. And then the prince goes looking for her with a shoe or should I be more specific "Glass slipper" Where are you supposed to buy a glass slipper from? Won't it cut your foot?

Anyways......If the prince truly WANTED to get his Cinderella back then he wouldn't need a shoe to FIND HER! WHY CAN'T HE USE HIS EYES!  What kind of a prince wouldn't recognize his lover even if she was wearing dirty clothing? And surely Cinderella isn't the ONLY person with that shoe size???? So basically if I were Cinderella I would be SAD that the prince didn't recognize me and had to use A SHOE TO FIGURE OUT WHO I WAS!
  
Deep breath......
So whats the verdict?
I won't be going back to flash back moments for a few weeks so yeah!
What movie should I watch and review next?

HI Y'ALL
(Gosh that's become very addictive now!)
WELCOME BACK FOR YET ANOTHER WEEKS POST!

FIRST OF ALL I'D LIKE TO THANK EACH AND EVERYONE OF YOU FOR COMMENTING AND VISITING MY BLOG! 

As you probably either heard or figured...........last week may have been my 50TH POST!

HOORAY! And the sad thing was that I didn't celebrate it........but today I will be celebrating it by putting LOTS OF MR BEAN PICTURES AND GIFS!

For this weeks post I will be talking about two people that I'd like to invite over for dinner!

The first real person would have to be ROWAN ATKINSON! I'd LOVE to have him over for dinner because he plays my favourite comedic character MR BEAN! Rowan Is kind spirited and a funny person that can be talked to easily. It would super fun with him because he would tell me funny stories and tell me more about his character Mr Bean! And we could watch his videos together while eating. Ahhh It would just be a dream come true :) Y'all are probably wondering "What I thought she would choose Dakota or Ed?"

Well, my heart lies with Rowan (Mr Bean!) because I've watched his movies since I was 4.

My second fictional character would probably have to be  SPONGE BOB!

He's been one of my favourite TV shows that I used to watch after school. He's funny, positive, a great singer and most of all.......HES AN AWESOME COOK! So with sponge bob at dinner, he could cook for Rowan and I and sing and also tell funny stories!

So with rowan and sponge-bob combined......I'd have a FABULOUS NIGHT with lots of funny stories, nice food and entertainment! I'm happy that I chose them together because they remind me so much of my child hood. I grew up watching both of them.

If I were to ask them some questions they would be:

1. Rowan? What was your favourite character to play in your life time movies?
2. Sponge-bob? Have you ever gotten bored of making crabby patties?
3. Rowan? When did you decide that you wanted to become an actor?
4. Sponge-bob? Is it fun to be sponge-bob?
5. Rowan? Who's your biggest inspiration?
6. Sponge-bob? How are you so positive all the time?

My................... FLASH BACK MOMENT

And I'm back for this part of my blog! I really hope I don't BORE y'all out........which now makes me.......I guess a little sad. Well I hope that's not the case.

So this was with my awesome cousin Marie!

My first (and only) sleep over was with Marie!

Anastasia and I were SUPER excited for it! When we got there we played, sims, ate, gossiped and annoyed her (14) older brother George who is really, really HYPERACTIVE.  And so some really SUPER FUNNY THINGS happened! But one of the most umm.....scariest? moments was in the morning when we all woke up............

Me: Psst.....Marie are you awake?
Marie: Mhmmm!
Anastasia: Geez I got NO SLEEP last night! (Because Marie snored THE WHOLE NIGHT)
Anastasia: Lets go see if George is awake?

And so us three jumped upstairs in our sleeping bags to his room.

When we opened it George was jumping and dancing on his bed with his head phones in. But when he saw us he quickly jumped off and lunged. I was the first to step back. At first it looked funny when he was tackling Marie but then I heard her scream "GEORGE GET OFF ME......OWCH!"

And then Anastasia and i started screaming because he had his sister in HEAD LOCK WHICH BTW HURTS! Then their mum came into the room and started calming george down. 

George: IT WAS THEIR FAULT!

Marie: OMG WE DID NOTHING!

George: Ugh! Whenever those two girls come over SOMETHING always happens to me!

And well umm I'm afraid hes right! When we went their a few months ago, he camped outside of maries bedroom to eaves drop on our conversations and we told him off!
But believe me George is super HILARIOUS! 

 So believe me before we slept at that sleep over, SO many LITERALLY HILARIOUS THINGS HAPPENED! I could write a book about it..........





 

A FUN(NY) TIME WITH MY GRANDPARENTS!

A welcome to another post!

 Just before I get onto topic......I'd just like to say that who ever is reading this PLEASE don't be afraid to comment because no matter WHO YOU ARE you don't need be afraid to comment. I'm sound pretty desperate..... And one more thing, THIS IS MY 50TH POST! So happy 50th post anniversary!
Moving on.................

Believe it or not I have A LOT of memories that I could share with you today. But there can only be one. So please bear with me and enjoy! I'm actually taking for ever to think here.....

I'm fortunate to still have both sets of my grandparents alive. Unfortunately my grandma (Dads mother)  isn't doing so well so I'd like to have a moment of silence on my blog........

My memory today that I will be sharing is with my mothers set of parents.
They are so kind and funny!
My grandpa is quite the character though......And he acts like a child sometimes.
This happened on Sunday (Yesterday if your reading this on the day I posted it) and at Greek committee called "The mytilenians" which is a island on Greece. They organize fun events but unfortunately the committee is decreasing in size. Less and less people come. But our family and grandparents still support it very much. Dad was on the committee board for 12 years. But now he has resigned because of my sick grandma :(

So mum, Stace and I walked into the small room and found about only 10 people there. It was quite depressing. Dad couldn't come because he was cleaning my OTHER grandpa's house which is quite a bit of a mess.......... SO, I said hello to everyone and sat down on a table. Since there was nothing to do I just played some games on my tablet (How rude of me......)

We'd been waiting for 10 minutes for more people to come and THEN someone made  A BIG entrance.....
My aunt-well technically shes my grandpa's cousin.....shes like him-childish and rude. So she made this BIG ANNOUNCMENT in greek saying "HELLO!" to all of us and then her shy husband walked a few steps behind her. I don't blame him. She can get VERY aggresive at times. This is what happened when she saw us: BTW HER NAME IS MARIA. (This was all said in Greek)
Maria:  HI girls!
Us: Hi.....
Maria: Come give me a hug and kiss now!
Us: Shuffling around to try get to her.
Anastasia: Hi auntie Maria
Maria: Smacks kiss of her cheek.
Maria: Wheres my little Katerina?
Maria: Tries to get past table to get to me.
Me: Hi Auntie Maria.
Maria: Smacks sloppy kiss on my cheek.
Me: Rubs it off while no ones looking......

Anyway this isn't about her! Whenever my family all comes together, WE LAUGH A LOT. MY grandparents are just HILARIOUS! They knock my socks off. So we had a moment of silence for those who had died and MARIA kept on talking to the lady next to her! Then everyone was like "SHHHHH"
After the moment of silence had ended, Maria shrugged her arms and muttered something in Greek like "What was that for?" 

After we played 4 games of bingo! It was super fun. My grandpa leaned across the table and whispered towards me and Anastasia. "If either of you win, choose the bottle of wine as a prize and give it to me.." And I won two rounds! Everyone looked pretty annoyed that I won two in a row. And so the first round I chose some lindor chocolates (YUM!) And then the second round I chose......A BOTTLE OF WINE!

All the old people started laughing when I picked it. Then I lay it slam down in front of grandpa. He pushed it back towards me and said, "It's ok, you have it." 
 Mum kept on saying, "Ooo this is good wine!"

When half time break came. Everyone went to go and get coffee's and food to eat. I just got a piece of cake and some teropita (Greek food that is VERY YUMMY) that my grandma had made. While I was eating Maria stood up to go and get her food. When she stood, the whole TABLE LITERALLY nearly fell over and all the cups (Which were THANKFULLY empty) Fell over! 

When Maria returned, her plate was literally piled high with LOTS OF FOOD. And then the lady next to her just gawped. Between mouthfuls Maria said, "You can call me fat if you want to but I haven't had lunch OR breakfast!"  Anastasia nearly choked on her food from laughter!

At the end of the bingo, my grandpa GRABBED my wine bottle and placed it under his arm and walked away. So I went up to mum and asked, "Did you still want that wine?"
Then she said, "Of course!"
"OH.....Grandpa's kinda got it..."
Then my grandma noticed him holding it and started shouting. At first I thought she was telling him off because he cut a piece of cake off with his hands......BUT THEN I realized what was happening.
Grandma: GIVE THAT BACK TO THEM!
Grandpa: BUT THEY GAVE IT TO ME!
Grandma: YOU DON'T NEED WINE! WE HAVE ENOUGH AT HOME!
Grandpa: WHAT EVER, BE GONE.
Anastasia: Grandma, he can have it if he likes!
Grandma: Oh no darling he doesn't need it, hes a little bit dumb.
And she ACTUALLY SAID THAT! I wish y'all were there. It was just soooooo FUNNY


Then my grandpa slid his cap on fiercely and didn't talk to her at all.
A LOT of other things happened that day........I told some people but It may not be ummm.......suitable to talk about on my blog....If you want to know you can ask me in person. BUT IT WAS SUPER WEIRD!
So yea! That's one memory that I will never forget!
One other thing. I asked mum about how grandpa was coping and she said that my grandma shouted at him for criticizing Maria's husbands clothes.......

So I kind of feel like there's no need for a FLASH BACK MOMENT this week because that kind of was like one. And yea! Thank you all for reading my 50th post! I really appreciate you commenting and reading. You are all just SO nice and kind that I could never do it with out you!
I really hope my grandpa learns how to act more mature next Bingo.....
